CONTROLLER DESCRIPTIONS
The CPEA2C CPU is a fully functional Microprocessor base controller;
with 3 types of communication ports, optically isolated Inputs, 28 current protected Outputs,
differential Encoder interface, an expand slot for multifunctional expansion cards, and
remote display driver hardware.
Montronics has developed an extensive assortment of expansion cards that
are mounted directly to the CPEA2C, that provide many different interface options.
You have a choice of a servo controller, additional I/O, more interface ports, multiple
A to D converters, and scanner interfaces.
A vast array of applications have already been developed
for the CPEA2C. These applications range from controlling motion and actuations
in many various fashions, to reading documentation and implementing data to
construct events. With the intensity of this hardware there is almost no limit
to the depths of usage for this device.
A fine companion to the CPEA2C controller in the stand
alone mode, is the use of a 4 line 20 character LCD display. The display driver
hardware enables the display to be mounted remotely. Generally a 16 segment key
pad is used to navigate through the design structure.
